Tire Road Hazard Protection


Airdrie Honda knows how important tires are to your overall safety. If the tires you bought from us have issues, Airdrie Honda could cover the repairs with our Road Hazard Protection service.

What is covered?

1. 'Road hazard protection' is defined as a tire that becomes unserviceable due to cuts, non-repairable punctures, or impact damage. Airdrie Honda will repair tires with tread-face injuries in accordance with established RMA (Rubber Manufacturers Association) standards. 

2. This protection covers road hazards in passenger, performance and light truck tires purchased from Airdrie Honda. Does not cover labor.

3. This protection is valid for sixty (60) months from the date of purchase or when the tire reaches 1.6 mm (2/32") in remaining tread depth regardless of age. When the tire has 1.6 mm (2/32") or less in tread depth it is considered worn out.

4. This protection provides credit based upon remaining usable tread at the time of the failure due to road hazard. 

5. 'Usable tread' is defined as the original tread depth of a tire less 1.6 mm (2/32") 'tread wear indicators'.

6. Credit is determined by multiplying the usable remaining tread by the current price of the tire.

7. This protection is a promise under certain conditions to give credit on a pro-rated basis towards the purchase of a new tire. This protection does not imply that tires sold by Airdrie Honda meet certain specifications or cannot fail. This protection does not replace or modify any original tire manufacturers warranty on material and workmanship.

8. This tire protection is only valid at Airdrie Honda.

 Qualifications for Protection

  • You must be the original purchaser on the tires.
  • Tires must have been purchased from Airdrie Honda.
  • Must present the original purchase receipt and tire to Airdrie Honda.

Conditions for Protection

  • Purchaser must rotate and balance tires as outlined by the vehicle manufacturer.
  • Purchaser must operate tires at inflation pressures as outlined by the vehicle manufacturer. 
  • Purchaser must keep all mechanical parts that effect tires in proper working condition. 

Tire Care Recommendations:

  • Have the air pressure in your tires checked by a tire professional at least once a month.
  • Always request that tire pressures are set as per vehicle manufacturer's specifications. 
  • Do not over load your vehicle. 
  • Always insist on an RMA approved two-piece tire repair. 
  • It is recommended to have your lug nuts re-torqued 100 kms after your tires are serviced or replaced.
What is Not Covered?

  • A tire that is damaged/failed due to vandalism.
  • A tire that is damaged/failed due to an accident.
  • A tire that is damaged/failed due to commercial use.
  • A tire that is damaged/failed due to racing.
  • A tire that is damaged/failed due to off-road use.
  • A tire that is damaged/failed due to snow chains or studs.
  • A tire that is damaged/failed due to rapid or irregular wear? A tire that is damaged/failed due to wear from worn mechanical components on the vehicle.

  • A tire that is damaged/failed due to improper wheel alignment.
  • Tires transferred from the vehicle on which they were originally installed.
  • Loss of time, inconvenience, loss of use of vehicle or consequential damage. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply.
  • Labor for mount, balance and install.
